The Human Thread

It stretched magnificently from death to eternity
a thin thread of love from above
to guide me to the way of truth.
Behind me lay desire,
my spontanoues childhood endeavours.
Ahead, a fall into the inpenetrable darkness
of the valley below or a stand on this lace of morality.
It would take a lifetime to approach
the light on the other side
and cuddle the shimmering everlasting dawn
of the candle's burn.
I am a beginner in adulthood I know
but only with this line
can I overcome the slithering fang that strokes my soul.
An open eye--the straggly path
resembles that of the son of the sovereign,
grateful for hope in this rope
I stroll forever onward to Glitter's gate
enjoying the intangible company already
basking in righteous destiny.

The Slow People

Diseases sprout like roaches on their face,
Their shriveled mouths are boneless, rotten tools
That butter selves, that rouse when one is near
To cripple people whom they deem as fast.
Their rules are naught but save to steal from youth
The pay they slaved from day to day at work.
Like knaves, they crave the golden seats, the heat,
To cure their gout, their everlasting cold.
But three they have of legs and shuffle toes,
The leaping heart to keep to human rate
By box: to sleep, to wake, to eat, to watch,
To crab, and linger on the booming days.
By noon, they grope with widened eyes that veil
The loping bridges, dancing fishes, frog.
Like oak, they shall be still and move no more,
As slowly, slowly snails will meet the gate.
