The Night

Looking around deep in the night,
Everything so different from the morning light.
When you see the Earth's dark side,
And life itself seems to divide.

In the night when Hell awakens,
Its burning fire, so long forsaken.
Its dark cloak making us terrified,
And our paranoia seems intensified.

In the night terror covers the Earth,
Its heart so corrupted it seems like death.
Our vision so muddled we can't see straight.
That's when we seem to contemplate.

Who made light? Who made darkness?
Who made evil? Who would confess?
Who in extreme moments proclaims an apostasy?
Who in distress lives in a fantasy?

In the night when the heart is cold,
So immensely corrupted it cannot be told.
Till when we see the morning eclipse,
It predicts the new age of an apocalypse.

Why Lie!

Why do I lie?
It makes people cry,
Causes people to spiritually die,
Just because I fail to reply,
Fail to confront an ignorant lie,
I am led to say goodbye.
Why do I lie?

Why can't I confess?
Is it pride or darkness?
The will to impress?
Infinite guilt in the midst of my distress?
The need to caress?
Or pain to suppress?
Why can't I confess?

Why do I have to repent?
It is so clear and patent,
Don't get bitten by the serpent,
And you will forever live in content.
Dwell on these words as long as you can see,
The beauty of this powerful decree.

Pass Away

Hurt and pain, they pass away
Winter and rain, they pass away
Struggle and strife, they pass away
Storms of this life, they pass away
Riches and gold, they pass away
Hearts that are cold, they pass away
Carnal pleasures, they pass away
Deceitful treasures, they pass away

But these are the things that will forever stay.

Lift is a gift not to be cast away
Love, a treasure that never fades away
Peace is like gold, which never rusts away
Joy is like sun at the break of day
Happiness is very hard to keep at bay
Faith, which is built each time we pray
Insight, which directs us on what to say
For God is a God that never leads astray.

The Lord's Commission

Take heed of all I say
Dwell on my words day by day
And as I prepare to take my leave
Do not lie, cheat or deceive.
For I have authority over heaven and earth
Power even over life and death
Therefore go out to all the nations
Convert souls and teach the right directions.
If by chance you face resistance
Do not stop but be persistent
Try not to have any doubts in your heart
For better is the end of a thing that I start.
Baptise in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost
And remember to receive the sacred host
For I'll soon leave but not desert you
And I'll be present in all you do.
Meditate on my word day and night
For it is the key to life and bringer of light
For those who do not follow, I will condemn
But do not fear for I am with you till the end. Amen.

A tree

A
Tree is green as grass
And shines as bright as gold
And oftentimes I wonder what mysteries were told
To such a tree as this, that seems so very old
What secrets known or treasures shown
Or clever lies or relieved sighs
But who can tell
Except this
tree
so
very
Old.

Our Nation

Racial discrimination
False incrimination
Unlawful condemnation
Rests within every nation

Governmental invocation
Masquerades commiseration
When the truth of contemplation
Infringe aberrant taxations

If we pause in contemplation
We may see the right solution
Is to pay correct attention
To the matters of signification

But we have pointless conversations
And intrepid demonstrations
In the hope that our exertions
Bring a level of revelation

We must learn to avoid devolution
Or other acts of deterioration
For the sake of our generation
For the sake of our nation.

Keep it Real

The world is changing, can't you see
Things are not as they used to be
These days, some baby face that's in his prime
Could easily get caught up in the game of crime
Some plot to squander so much as a dime
Could inevitable end with him doing time.
And a little kid who seems so innocent
Could hurt and kill just for a cent.
It seems so strange, what a crazy thing to do
But I assure you my friend, it's oh so true.
If you don't believe me just watch the news
Chaos ignited as though with a fuse
And countless politicians expressing their views
When you really know that they'll be wanting their dues.
So what do we do in such a world?
My answer to you is to serve the Lord
For we do not know what's in store tomorrow
It could be joy, it could be sorrow
But we must choose a path to follow
And pray that our choices don't end in sorrow.
But for now, it seems the best thing to do
Is to hold unto those you hold dear to you
For the Lord will return to fulfil his deal
But until then you guys, just keep it real.
