| Bullying is simply the domination of an individual or group of individuals with a threat.
The above definition immediately reveals the fact that bullying takes many forms and is unleashed within all kinds of environments. The term ‘threat' in the above definition could represent violence, loss of a job, loss of a friendship, loss of an acceptance and so on.
Bullying is not a thing that should be taken lightly because the act is the route of many conflicts in our world today. And the absence of it from our existence would solve majority of the problems we face in our society.
However the sad truth is we don't live in an ideal world, and society allows the act to go on day in and day out in our schools, clubs, offices, centres and so on.
If you think you're being bullied you have a duty to yourself and people around you to report it to higher authority, bullies thrive on fear.
This is why as individuals we need to always aim to handle situations with an outlook that is mature, considerate, and even selfless. Our ability to adopt such an outlook would not only counter act any bullying thrown our way, but it will inspire many people not to take up the act in any shape or form.
